We recently did a review for the new online penny auction site called SkoreIt to find out whether it was the real deal or just one big scam. Read our SkoreIt Review below to learn more…
When we initially signed up for SkoreIt, we bought a bidpack and began bidding. For those of you who don’t know how penny auctions work, users bid on items with pre-purchased bids that come in the form of bidpacks. Everytime a person places a bid, the price of the auction goes up by $0.01 and the timer goes up by 10-15 seconds. The last person to place the final bid before the clock counts down to zero is crowned the winner of the auction.
From our experience with the site, it was VERY HARD to win and it clearly looked like SkoreIt was possibly a scam. However, we’ve heard different stories from a few people so it may just boil down to luck. Perhaps we were just unlucky.
We didn’t want to let our bad experience with SkoreIt spoil our whole penny auction experience so we tried a new penny auction site called BidSauce, which one of our friends had won many items on.
The difference was like night and day! While SkoreIt was hard for us to win probably due to the increased competition on the site, BidSauce didn’t seem to be crammed by as many users, making it much easier to win the auctions.
We won a couple gift cards and then bid very aggressively to win a MacBook Pro laptop right after. The MacBook took a lot of bids to win and the gift cards were much easier. We recommend that you start with 250 bids as this amount will give you a good chance of winning and you’ll have a nice amount of bids to play with.
Check out BidSauce, it’s much better than SkoreIt in our opinion and you may have a better chance of winning.
